Domaine de Thalie VDF French Flair

From a mosaic of plots from different areas and of varying ages. Gamay is 50% from Beaujolais and 50% from Macon. Hand harvest, Gamay is whole-bunch, Syrah is de-stemmed. Natural fermentation in tank with 8 days post fermentation maceration. Bottled unfined, unfiltered. Only SO2 addition is 20mg/l just prior to bottling.

Peter Gierszewski established this small five-hectare estate in 2019. He started from scratch, purchasing old vines and converting an old farmhouse into a cellar and home. It is situated in the hills above Cluny, a natural and historic sub-region of Saone-et-Loire. Farming is organic and biodynamic and Peter values biodiversity. The soils are very diverse and the wines extraordinarily expressive.
