Producer

Established in 1974, Paul Barre has been known for several decades as a pioneer of biodynamic principals in France. This 10-hectare estate located in Fronsac (in the shadow of St Emilion a mere 12 km away) has been farming in this manner since the 1990. Since 2013 the vineyard has been ploughed by horses and vinification is deployed with minimal input. Paul’s vineyard has been taken over by his son Gabriel and his wife, Edith. Following in his father's footsteps, Gabriel and his wife continue to be artisans of the land.
